Outlook Contacts not appearing as Address Book

I recently had to transfer my Outlook 2007 data from one computer (Windows
XP) to a new one (Windows 7). I installed my Office Professional 2007 on the
new laptop, and connected the two together with a LAN connection. Then I
transferred the files from the old to the new, using the new "Easy Transfer
(or whatever it's called) to do so. A day or so later, my old computer
CRASHED, so I'm not able to access the data any longer.

It appears most everything made the transfer safely...except now the
Contacts do not appear as the Outlook Address Book, nor do they synch up with
my iPhone like they did in the past. The same synch problem appears to be
happening with my Outlook Calendar, namely not updating or synching.

Although my Contacts seem to be intact, the "All Contact Items" contact list
is not the one shown as my Outlook Address Book. I did a search for it,
using *.pab, but nothing came up at all.

I've gone through the tutorials and made several attempts to correct the
problem, but when I get to the point where I am prompted to show my "All
Contact Items" as an Outlook Address Book, the checkbox is greyed out and
will not allow me to check it.

I also noticed that my Contacts and my Calender were in files named as such,
but did not appear to be in Personal Folders. Does this give any clue?

Although it's not stopping me in my tracks, it surely is frustrating, and
will become more so as additional data is input without the ability to access
it. Can you help me?

One other point I just recalled...my previous application was strictly
Outlook 2007, but when I installed the Outlook onto my new machine, I went
ahead and installed the "Business Contact Manager. I then tried to
un-install it but it still seems to be there.

As posted here and on the other Outlook groups MANY MANY times - Windows
Easy Transfer generally corrupts your Outlook Mail profile.
Do Control Panel-Mail-Show Profiles-Add, create a new mail profile and add
the existing pst file to it. See if that helps.

Sorry to have apparently made the mistake of asking a question that didn't
appear in any post I could find when searching here. I apologize to have
anticipated that the highly recommended Microsoft Easy Transfer would SCREW
UP my Microsoft Outlook with a simple task as transferring files.

It would appear to me that if thsis question has been asked SO MANY TIMES,
that Microsoft might look into FIXING THE PROBLEM it's software is causing.
Maybe I'm just too far off base that I shouldn't expect what might think
would be obvious.

Since your answer was so "Shorthand", I'll try to figure it out myself.
Sorry for wasting your time.

Time for a new mail profile. That's the only way to repair the Outlook
Address Book service in a mail profile corrupted by Windows Easy
Transfer. There's nothing wrong with using WET to transfer, provided
you create a mail profile *after* you use it, instead of setting one up
before using it.
I also noticed that my Contacts and my Calender were in files named as

If you see specific files for Contacts and Calendar, then they are not
Outlook's Contacts and Calendar. Outlook keeps all of its data in one
file. All your mail, tasks, calendar, contacts, notes, etc. are in a
single file called the PST or Personal Folders file.
