Outlook connector and Outlook 2007 validation

Hi - Just purchased a new HPdv6000 and had 2007 office and outlook loaded ..
now i'm attempting to sync my premium office live email with outlook ..
however i can't get past the first step of validating my software .. it's not
automatically showing Activex so i've gone the alternate route at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6a-931e-438a-950c-5e9ea66322d4&displayLang=en
... and instead of getting a validation code i get a page "Internet Explorer
cannot display the webpage" ..

any suggestions would be warmly welcomed !!
