Outlook Calendar and not-appointments

Greetings,
We're using Outlook 2003 in Windows XP and I'm having trouble trying to do
something in the calendar.

I work with monthly occurances that have both a start and stop date that are
roughly the same each month. No biggie, a couple appointments and I'm set.

I complete many of these requirements before the close date and generally
open the appointment to update that it's done. The problem is that I'd like
to be able to post something on the day that I've completed a task so that
it shows up on my calendar saying the name of the task, and "Complete" or
some such.

I'm using appointments right now, simply because they'll show on the day I
set, but then it wants reminders and all.

I tried notes, but they don't seem to be date-specific.

Is there a way to post something onto my calendar that's tied to a specific
date and simply has a statement like "Job 5 complete"???

Thanks,

Shane

I KNEW it was something obvious.. time for a multi-time-zone head-slap!

Thanks, Sue!

An all-day event with that subject and the reminder turned off?
