Quarantine folder and doesn't send responses about viruses.

One of the professors here uses periods(.) in his document
naming, (i.e. - this.section.lab.test.doc). When the e-
mail is received it is put into my "Quarantine" folder and
I receive an auto-response e-mail about the posibility of
a virus. Is there a way to filter these types of
attachements so they are not quarantined?
