Outlook attachment order

Hi

I'm having a problem with the order of the attachments I add to new
emails.
I create a new email and go to insert - file.
Then I select a number of attachments and click insert. So far so good.
The attachments show up, but the attachment that was at the end of my
selection always appears as the first attachment. The rest of them are
in the correct order.

This happens every time i do this, no matter how many I choose. I tried
this from a few other computers as well as a terminal server I'm
accessing, and this behaviour is the same everywhere. Changing the mail
format didn't change anything.

All the computers are running english Office 2003 SP2 (11.8010.8107),
on Windows XP. Is this a bug or is it "by design"? Can this order be
changed?

When I select and add 5 files named file0.txt...file5.txt, they appear
in this order: file5.txt file1.txt file2.txt file3.txt file3.txt
file4.txt. If any of you try it, I suspect you'll see the same thing. I
would like them to appear in the order they appear in explorer, 1...5.

I think that's just the way the file selection dialog works. I see the same
thing in Lotus Notes. I think Windows returns the file names that way. I
think you'll need to select File2, File3, File4, File5, File1 to get things
the way you want, if it's important to you.

Ok, thanks. Seems you are right. Selecting the attachments in order
File2, File3, File4, File5, File1 actually works fine, so at least I
have a workaround :)
