OUTLOOK attachment handling

I've just switched over from Express to Outlook 2000
and ideally I want to deal with attachments the same way
as Express did.
I want to see Jpegs in a preview pane (inbox and Outbox)
I want to see attachment names AND file sizes once attached
Can I do this?

Also, I'm wondering why Outlook is so slow to read files
when attaching, and seems to get stuck if the nav bar is
used to quickly.
I'm using XP, do I need to turn off previewing/thumbnails
or something? I don't use them...

Outlook doesn't handle the Preview Pane and attachments in the same way
Outlook Express did. How you see things in the Preview Pane is a function
of how the sender constructed the message. If they send you a Rich Text or
HTML message with embedded images, I believe you should see them. You can't
control what overhead information Outlook displays for attachments (but you
couldn't control that for OE, either).

I don't notice that myself.
