Outlook Attachements

Is there a way to change the settings in Outlook to make sure all attachments (Word, Excel, PDF, etc.) files are attached in a separate window in the message header, and not as embedded files in the message text. I am having a problem with receipients being able to open attachements because the file is received as a win.file and is not attached properly.

The sender should use plain text or HTML format if they're not 100% certain
that the recipient has Outlook.
