Outlook and Word compatiblility

Neil

I just got Outlook 2002. I had Office 2000 and Word 2000.
The new outlook requires a matching version of Word in
order to use Word as email editor. I can't find a copy of
Word 2002 for sale. All I can find is Word 2003. Anybody
know if it will work?

No. It's my understanding that versions of Outlook & Word must match
in order to use Word to edit messages in Outlook.

People here who have Office XP (without the Outlook component installed) and
who get Outlook 2000 installed seem to be able to use Word 2002 to edit
their mail.
