Outlook after a reinstall of Windows XP

I had to recover my system and I now need to reinstall office. All of the
data folders and data were recovered. When I install Outlook, will my old
contacts DB be there, or will it overlay my data?

OL should use / connect to the origonal data file. Even if the installation
was to create a new data file your origonal would be still there, and
usable.

Thanks - I thought it would, but everything else went wrong yesterday,
thought I would check.

Depending on your Outlook version, you may, in fact, find that the
installation created a new PST and that it's masking the old data. You
should be able to create a mail profile that accesses the old data, however.
