Outlook 6 Can receive but not send!!!

I have just changed from a 56k modem to ADSL......since the change my outlook runs normally except it says I can't send mail, I receive it ok and if I send myself a new mail it goes through fine...the erorr message says thus....'530 Delivery not allowed to non-local recipient, try authenticating', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC7

I have no idea what this means.....I have checked all the settings for my ISP and it all seems fine so it must be something really really stupid or easy

PLEASE HELP!!!!! It's driving me nuts

Reply direct to me if you prefer.....

Thanks

Hi,

Outlook 6 would be pretty old, I think you mean Outlook Express 6. Click
tools/accounts, click the mail tab. Click on your account, then on
properties. Go to the server tab, towards the bottom there is a line that
reads "my server requires authentication", try enabling it.

Hi Gavin,

Unless you use the Dial-up modem, you won't be able to send e-mails thru
your ISP smtp e-mail server.

Since you got an always on connection, you will need to sent your
messages thru your ADSL smtp e-mail server, instead. Unless you use and have
a Hotmail account. However you can download all your messages thru Pop
E-mails accounts that you have using your Pop E-mail program.
