Outlook 2K3 & Receipts

I have a question about read receipts.

Sunday morning I recalled an email I had sent to mulitple people. I decided
to add a bit more to the email, so I recalled it. On recall, I received a
receipt stating I had a recall failure for this one recipient (none of the
others). She was at church at the time.

We sent a request to the server team to look into this as she feels someone
is reading her email. They replied that Outlook 2k3 must have been open
with the reading pane displayed.

Is this possible?

Is this possible?

Yes. Message recall rarely works, note - requires a very specific set of
circumstances. If the reading pane was open, the message may have been
"opened". Don't bother with message recall...just my $.02
