Outlook 2007 won't automatically send messages from outbox

All messages placed in the Outbox simply remain there. Won't send
automatically...........or manually.

Is this a new fault, or have you only just configured Outlook?
And if you use the option, in the accounts to test, what err msg is given?

It's been ongoing since the original installation..........about six months
ago. I've searched for a suitable configuration setting for it, but have
failed to find same.

I do note that Outlook will place messages in the Outbox when the servers
are busy and can't accept the message..........and then subsequently sends
those messages.

However, if I put a group of messages in the Outbox and attempt to send them
all simultaneously, nothing occurs.

Thanks for you help......

Nope.........no error messages. I can send all messages manually, one at a
time, without issues..........so the configuration of the e-mail accounts is
proper.

It's simply the outbox that fails to function...........?

Thanks.

When you send a msg it goes to the Outbox, nothing to do with a busy server,
then when outlook sends that mail its moved to the sent folder.
If you manually move a msg to the outbox, its unlikely to be sent.

Under Tools>OptionsMail Setup;
tick send immediately
Send/Receive Btn
Include this group
Scheduel auto..........Not less than 10 mins

Yes, that's exactly the situation. If I move a group of messages from my
"drafts" folder to the outbox, I expected Outlook to send them. It didn't.
Then I selected "tools", "send/receive", "send all"........and Outlook simply
ignores the messages in the outbox. This doesn't seem proper.

I don't believe dragging a message to Outbox constitutes a Send action.

It is 'proper'; mail will not be sent by dragging to the outbox.
Thats not the way to do it; open the mail in Drafts, click send

OK, thanks. Is there a way to send a group of messages from Drafts without
opening each draft and sending it individually?
