Outlook 2007 Themes Issue

I have installed Outlook 2007 (retail edition from Microsoft Download) on a
computer that already has Word 2007 on it (Home and Student Edition). I
cannot get Outlook 2007 to open up themes. Outlook tells me "they are not
installed". After some google searching I see where people are talking
about the same issue and the problems comes from Outlook and Word coming not
from the same install (like Office Professional with both softwares in the
package).

Am I correct in this assessment? Is there a way to work around it? These
seems pretty stupid to me and I just wasted $119 to purchase Outlook 2007.

Thanks!

Yes. Themes work only if Word and Outlook are from the same suite.

I don't know of a way.

Correct, you need word and outlook from a suite to use themes. If you
purchased Outlook just so you could send themed email then yes, you wasted
$119. If you purchased it to use as an email client, then you made a
suitable investment.

You can use templates instead of themes.
