Outlook 2007 slow when receiving email

Is anyone having a issue while receiving email in Outlook 2007 running Vista?
I'ts like using a 2400 modem.

It could be the antivirus software you are using. If you disable e-mail
scanning does your mail download at an acceptable speed?
 
If you are using a pop3 or imap server, here is a fix:
start/Accessories/r-click on Command prompt and select "Run as
administrator" and then type: netsh interface tcp set global
autotuninglevel=disabled and then hit "Enter" key and it should say "ok". I
would restart pc just to be sure.

I know of at least 5 people/org in which this has fixed the issue.
 
What is the difference between Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003?
