outlook 2007 sends out messages that i did't write

i'd been sending out a single message, but outlook 2007 had shown sending out
message 6 out of 6.

what's wrong?

Have you applied Service Pack 2 for Office 2007 already? There was a
counting bug in Outlook that got fixed.
If you have already applied SP2, check if you have any stuck read receipts.
