Outlook 2007 Scanpst.exe

I have a laptop with Vista Home Premium SP1 and Office Std. 2007 SP1. I
could not start Outlook and had to create a new PST file. Now I can use
outlook but when I try to import my old email from the outlook.pst file, I
get the same error I'd been getting before creating the new PST file, telling
me the pst file is corrupt and to run scanpst. When I run scanpst, it stops
on phase 6 of 8 and says it cannot repair the file and no changes have been
made. The file is 670mb. Can anyone recommend any other tools to repair or
somehow salvage the corrupt file (even if the tools are not free). Thanks
very much in advance for any help with this.

First of all, importing would never be the way to transfer data from an
Outlook file. Your data is already in Outlook format. Just open the file.
If you also corrupted your file to the point that you cannot open it, you'll
need to look into third party software.

My list is longer, except the TOC link doesn't work in that URL. Know anyone
who can fix it?

The #tools chuck is getting dropped for some reason when it gets passed to
IE. It works fine in Outlook email or from the web interface but not in
windows live mail - from wither news or email.

Yet another reason to love Windows Mail. The only thing worse is the web
interface. I sure wish Microsoft would stop trying to make our lives easier
until they can actually figure out how to do it.

if you cannot repair your outlook, using scanpst files. just search another software on net which works as an alternative to fixscanpst.exe files. I am sure you would find a solution for your problem.
