Outlook 2007 - Outlook Today - Tasks : How to sort them ?

Hi,

How can I sort my tasks in "Outlook2007/Outlook Today" in alphabetical order
please ?

You can't. You can sort them alphabetically in the Tasks folder itself.

Just curious; how would this be useful to you? Not trying to be nasty here
but I don't think there are many people around that process their tasks in
alphabetical order.

I am retired and I have the money to afford myself MS-Office (I guess like a
lot of other people who worked with Office during their professional life).

I have a lot of activities and the due dates are not that important to me :
- In the house
- In the garden
- Just things to do one but not to forget
- Things that I should not forget if I go this or that particular shop.
- Things about the car
- Things about my online activities
- Things about my MS-beta-testing activities
- Things etc, etc

I try to give them all a name that starts with "Inside", "Outside", "To Do",
"Car", "Computer", Betatesting, Banking, etc ...
And I would like to see/read them alphabetically organized in this way in
"Outlook Today - Tasks".

Maybe there is a need for Outlook to adapt to the needs of
retired/unimployed people ? because there will be unfortunately more and
more of them in the coming years.

Does this make sence to you Roady ?
Or are you able to point me to some alternative solutions that are already
avialable in the wonderful Outlook2007 ?

If you are not afraid to go into the registry, then go to the following
hive;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Today

Here you'll find the Sort1 key name. Give it the value of [Subject]
Set the Sort1Asc key name a value of True to have it sort from A-Z or a
value of False to have it sort from Z-A
