Outlook 2007 no longer available in Programs

I loaded Oulook 2007 on my new laptop which has the Vista Home Premium
Operatin System. It worked for a week then I got a message that the
MAPI32.dll file was corrupted and I needed to reload Outlook 2007. I did but
now the program does not even appear on my programs list to pull up. however
I can see it on the remove programs list. When I re-install it says it was
successfully installed, but I do not see the startup icon. so I can not start
the program. should I delete the program and start over? What else should I
do to get Outlook working again.

Right-click your Start button and select Properties. Next to Start Menu,
click Customize. At the bottom, make sure E-mail link is checked, and select
Microsoft Office Outlook in the dropdown box next to it.
