outlook 2007, my notify freez until i go to another message

I'm using outlook 2007. I get notify (the envelop) when a new message has
arrived but it doesn't "go away" until I click on another message/file.

So after reading the message the envelop notification stay like I have a
new message...

It goes away when a message gets marked as read or when you press CTRL+ENTER
when having any item selected in Outlook.

I know. The problem is that IT DOESN'T mark it as read so the notify never go
away...

But that's something YOU control. Change the settings for when messgaes get
marked as read.
