Outlook 2007; my name shows up every time I hit the enter button

In Outlook 2007, when typing a message and I get to the end of a paragraph,
and put in a period, I follow it by hitting the "Enter" button to start the
next paragraph...but each time my name shows up, in brackets, on the next
line. I then have to select it and delete it to continue my message. What's
causing my name to show up like that? Thanks, Bill [No responses please after
