Outlook 2007 - Load older messages first

Hello,
Changed from POP3 to Exchange, and would prefer to receive my messages
oldest to newest. I can't find any info on how to make that change. I can
only find SP2 will make POP3 load as Exchange does - newest messages first.

Can you be a bit more precise in your description of what you want? When
using an Exchange account, Outlook doesn't download messages like it does when
using a POP account. It just shows you the entire contents of the mailbox.
If you mean you want the newest messages on top, then just click the Received
column to reverse the sort.

Due to the volume of email received I can't leave it on the server due to
mailbox size limitations, so I download mail to a local PST. When I receive
mail the first message to load into my Inbox is the newest message received
on the server. I would like to have the oldest message on the server placed
in the Inbox first.

mailbox size limitations, so I download mail to a local PST. When I receive
mail the first message to load into my Inbox is the newest message received

If the delivery location is a PST, then items will be placed there as they are
received. If you use a rule to move them to a PST, then they'll get moved in
the order in which they are received. I don't know what you mean by "loading"
the Inbox.

My Inbox is located under a Personal Folder. I sort by "Received" with the
newest on the bottom. When I click Send/Receive and download email from the
server the emails "load" or show up in my Inbox with the newest message
first. So if it is 2:30pm and I haven't checked email since 1:30pm, I will
have the emails put into my Inbox with a 2:30 message first, then work it's
way back to 1:30. As I mentioned I receive a large volume of email, so I
would rather start reading new messages starting from the last email I read
rather than start reading new emails, and having to catch up on the thread.

A "large volume" still shouldn't take very long to transfer to the PST. Even
the slowest of networks should transfer a megabyte per second. Why not just
do something else until all the messages received since the last Send/Receive
have been placed into the Inbox?

I have the same frustration since upgrading from office 2003 to office 2010 emails download to my inbox newest first instead of oldests first. Why did Microsoft make such a silly change. I've hunted all over for a way to change this back but with no success. Did you get any usefu answer yet. I'm frustrated with having to do something else till the earliest email appears.
