Outlook 2007: change field names

I was thinking about adding additional fields but I am afraid they may not be
searchable and I need them to be. I can use existing fields if I can simply
change their names. Can I do that and will it affect their functionality and
searchability?

Names of standard fields cannot be changed.

By the way, it's really only the label of the field I need to change, not
the field type. e.g. change "Job Title" to "Strategy". I only want to make
the change for ONE of the contact folders, though. Is this possible?

You can customize forms and existing views to change the label for a field,
but users modifying a view or creating a new one will see only Job Title,
not Strategy, on the field list.
