Hi,
I have just recently installed the Office 2007 suite and when I tried to
open Outlook it comes up with an error saying "The required file WSOCK32.dll
cannot be found in your path. Install MSOffice Outlook again" and then closes.
I found the wsock32 file in the system32 folder. But to do this I had to
start in safe mode (it does not show up in normal mode).

Any hints on how to stop this error?

Outlook RTM or a beta version?

It's still there in normal mode but you don't see it with certain security
features enabled.
Log on as an administrator and run;
Start-> Run; regsvr32.exe wsock32.dll

Restart your computer, run a repair on Office, restart again (just to make
sure) and then try starting Outlook again.

Additionally make sure you have got all Windows updates applied.
