Outlook 2007 - Cannot Delete Messages After Search?

Is this an issue anyone has encountered... Search for messages (I searched
deleted mail folder, but encountered same issue also in the inbox and junk
mail folder) using the search box. Ctrl+Click to select a number of messages
to delete (but not all and not necessarily one after another), then delete
button on toolbar.

I attempted for a while to delete a number of emails this way with no luck.
When I finally did get the messages to delete, it did not delete all of them.

One thing I did notice is that this seemed to occur often when the divider
forthe date was present (Date: Two Weeks Ago, etc).

I've tried closing and restarting Outlook and this happens regardless.

In the Find search box at the top of the message pane... Not advance search
as far as I know, as I have never, until reading this, used the advanced
search or clicked the arrow to display the addition search options. But it
does happen when I try it there too.
