I cant remove 2007 beta via the 'add/remove' section in the control panel. it
just says insert original disc (and there isnt one for this beta of course)

Anyone know how I can do this and revert back to 2003 SE without losing any
of my files/data?

thanks

Thanks for this - with a few install/reinstalls of office 2003 I finally got
back there!

However 2007 beta / Office 12 is still on my computer in the program file
and still i cannot remove it via the add/remove function. Any thoughts on how
to delete it completely from my pc?

thanks

Thanks agin - the text does say that it should remove 2007 beta from =the
add/remove but the fact is it didn't and I've still got office 12 in my
program file

Interestingly the BTR technical refresh did delete all the way thro

any further thoughts appreciated as the residual program software is bound
to cause me problems at some stage

Hi, I'm not trying to start set up, I'm trying to delete the 2007 beta
completely. The message I've had all along is 'the product installation has
been corrupted. Run set up from CD, DVD or other orignal installation source'
which I don't have for a beta

Following the link you gave me I managed to get the beta 'blanked out' from
the all programs list and thyen I could reinstall 2003...

thanks

Yes, and setup isn't just for installing. It is also for repairing, adding
features or removing the product completely. The BETA did came with an
orginal installation source or how else did you install it? Use the
downloaded packages to run setup again and remove the product.

The link I provided goes beyond just removing some shortcuts from the Start
Menu. If it doesn't do that you are either doing it wrong or the
installation has been corrupted beyond removal but considering it Office
2007 is still listed in your Add/Remove Programs you might be doing
something wrong here.

If you really can't get rid of it and it is causing you other issues
consider rebuilding your machine. BETA software, as advertised, isn't
supposed to be running on production machines.

I installed the beta direct from the web, which source doen't seem to be
available anymore. I have a stack of files under 'office 12' which i beleive
must equate to the beta and includes some .exe files but none of these do
anything when opened. Is there somewhere on the web where I can re download
the beta to set it up and then comprehensively delete it or can I use one of
the files in Office 12 somehow
