Outlook 2007 Beta Question Regarding E-mail

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same, or a similar
problem, in Outlook 2007. As I subscribe to several listserves, after
reading the e-mail message that i've opened, I often just want to
delete the e-mail as I won't be needing it again. However, in the
Beta2 version my "delete" button on the standard toolbar is grayed out
as is the "move to folder" command.

Any ideas on how I can get this turned back on, or is this a system
thing? Ctrl + D which is the shortcut key in Outlook 2003 doesn't seem
to work either.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Bryan Drost

Are you running the TR version of Beta 2?
Did you activate your Beta version?
What account type are you using?
Does the Delete button still work?

I have the same problem and have been trying to get an answer since 11/5
(posted twice). Looking forward to the answer.

I am running the TR of Beta 2 and did activiate my Beta version. I'm
using two different accounts on two different machines with the same
problem on both: one is just a pop account; the other is my hotmail pro
account using outlook connector; makes no difference. The regular
delete key only works when you are on the page that shows all of your
e-mails, grouped usually by categories (day for me personally); i.e.
the home page of the inbox.

Try resetting the Toolbar by renaming outcmd.dat to .old. Otherwise try the
RTM version (if already available to you).
