OUTLOOK 2007 BETA INSTALLATION

Guest

I have been running the Beta since June 2006 with some minor issues. Recently
installed the Technical Refresh and Outllok 2007 has been removed from my PC.
All the other Office products are still in place (and show the B2TR logo). I
have attempted to reinstall Outlook but when I start the Beta install Outlook
has an X against it saying it is unavailable. All other Office products are
available. Any suggestions how I get Outlook reinstalled?

Were you running Beta 2 before installing the B2TR? Have you tried a
complete uninstall, then reinstall Beta 2 then applying B2TR?

Yes, I was running BETA 2, all products in the Office Suite e.g Word, Excel,
Outllok etc. Since applying B2TR only Oultook is effected. Everything else is
OK. I will try uninstalling the whole Suite and reinstall.

Vince:

I am encountering a similar problem. The B2tr has tanked my entire office
2007 package and I cannot uninstall either the office package or the B2tr.
My only choice right now is to reload the entire Vista RC1 and start over
with just using office 2007 w/o the B2tr - unless you can give me a
suggestion. I am at my wits end on this one.

Hi Vince, I removed Office 2007 and have attempted to reinstall. I get a
message "Microsoft OPP 2007 encountered an error during setup. Error 2711. An
internal error has occurred. (GraphicsFiltersCDRFilesIntl_1033. I have
removed all the Office 2007 beta programs and don't have any other Beta
software on my machine (I am running XP SP2).
Any clues?

I have tried everything suggested on this and other posts to no avail. I can
not get Office 2007 to install. I have done the following:
Deleted all Office 2007 programs.
edited Register to remove all 0FF1CE entries.
Emptied temporary folders.
Deleted all Office12 files.
Still get error message about Graphics Filters. Can anyone suggest something
I have missed?

Don't forget to uninstall the Windows Desktop Search (beta) when doing your
cleanup. It's at the bottom of Add/Remove Programs, so can be easily missed.

Customize the installation so that you don't install the graphics and text filters. If the installation is successful, apply B2TR. If that's also successful, then go back to Add/remove Programs and add the graphics and text filter components.

At what point in the process are you getting this error? What drive are you installing from?

I have extracted the setup files to a directory (E:\office 12 install). I am
then running the setup executable from this directory. Setup executes, asks
for key details and then says "Installing Microsoft Office Professional Plus
2007 (Beta)...
It runs for about 5 minutes with blue line about 20% across then fails with
the error message.

I finally got the install to work and Office 2007 Beta install finalised.
However when I go to start Outlook I get an error message "Cannot start
Microsoft Outloook. Cannot Initialise Microsoft Office shared utilities.
Restart your computer or reinstall Microsoft Office Outlook. Wornd and Excel
do not start with a message sayong there is not enough memory or disk space.
