Outlook 2007 Beta insert symbol problem

I may just be missing something obvious here but when adding contacts I
cannot put an accented character into the contact's name or address or indeed
anywhere other than the Notes window . The "Insert symbol" item in the
toolbars is disabled anywhere else (as are Tables, Illustrations. Links and
Text which are not relevant). I realise that there are other, roundabout,
ways of doing this but it seems odd to have the feature built-in and not make
it available.

Good catch. I submitted it to MS as bug. Btw, you can use insert symbol
on the full name, if you use it right after opening the new contact
window and without moving to another field.
