Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I am running Outllook 2007 on Vista Home Premium.

Having imported my restored Outllook .pst file into my new PC, I realized
that I had duplicate tasks, calendar which made using outlook cumbersome,
which I realised when I had downloaded emails and filed them in folders.

So I moved that file and brought it in again so that I would not be seeing
duplicate tasks, calendar etc. The problem I want to resolve is how do I
retrieve the emails only from the 1st outlook file into the second, without
bringnig the outlook framework with it as well?

Help is much appreciated

I'm not really sure in what has been duplicated in your case. Do you see
multiple Contacts and Calendar folders in your folder tree or do you have 2
folder trees displaying the same information?

In general you do not want to use import. You can use File-> Open-> Outlook
Data File... to connect to your previous pst-file and move the items if you
want. After this you can disconnect the pst-file again via File-> Data File
Management...

Many thanks, sorted
