Outlook 2003

Outlook 2003 Calendar always opens to July 26, regardless of the default view
being Month, Day, or Week. Is there a way to set Outlook to open to the
current Month, day, or week?

That's an anomaly caused by the combination of a month that spans 6 weeks and
some other settings in Outlook. Your calendar will be back to normal
tomorrow.
