Outlook 2003 / Word ??

All of a sudden I'm getting this error below when starting Outlook 2003.

Microsoft Word is set to be your email editor. However, Word is unavailable,
not installed, or is not the same version as Outlook.. The Outlook email
editor will be used instead. An OLE registration error occurred. The program
is not correctly installed. Run setup for the program.

I did:
Office 2003 Repair (didn't fix it)
Uninstall Word / Reinstall Word (didn't fix it)
Rebooted computer

I would hate to uninstal Office 2003 completley and have to redo all my
Outlook settings / email accounts all over again.

Anyone know a fix for this?

To set Word as the default editor for email messages in Outlook:

Select Tools | Options from the menu in Outlook.
Click on the Mail Format tab.
Make sure the Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages
checkbox is selected.

If you don't get an answer here, and even so for next time, post to a
group for Office products. This newsgroup is for the XP operating
system. Here is a list of all MS newsgroups:

I already had Word as the editor the whole time but suddenly when I load
Outlook 2003 it gives the error I mentioned, and automatically unchecks Word
2003 as the editor. Any ideas why?

Hey Chadi
i had the same problem about a month ago (and many others) and the advice i
was given was to uninstall office completely and reinstall it, but before
doing this i would check out some of the office newsgroups and ask them for
their opinions as we all know how annoying uninstalling and reinstalling can
be!!

best of luck

As you've been told a few times now, the people to ask are in a group
with OFFICE or OUTLOOK in the title. Work, Outlook and Office are not
a part of XP and as such problems with them should be addressed to a
more appropriate audience.

I do not care for your thoughts or opinions. You are not an MVP or MSFT tech
so stop stalking me on the board.

WTF?

I'm not "stalking" you on the board. I could care less whether you
are here or not. I just care that you don't seem to be following the
advice of the MVP or MSFT folk who you obviously value so highly.

You do know that an MVP or MSFT is just an ordinary person, right?
Not a super-tech or even a Microsoft employee?

If you don't want advice, then go away.

WTF? Sure, your professional. Get a life and don't boss people around. You
are no one to open a mouth

MVPs are not Microsoft employees. People who sign themselves MSFT
are usually Microsoft employees.

Huh?

"Sure, your professional"

What does that mean? What are you trying to say? That I'm not acting
like a professional (which I never claimed in any of this thread)?
I'm acting like the 13 year old child that you are. I guess I
shouldn't have stooped to your level.

"Get a life and don't boss people around."

Well, that's what I do in life - I manage people and have to boss them
around. Oh, and aren't you trying to boss me around? The pot calling
the kettle black?

"You are no one to open a mouth."

And you are?
