I just upgraded my 3 PCs from Office Student & Teacher 2003 to Office Student
2007. Of course, the 2007 version no longer includes Outlook. Not being able
to shell out the $$$ for 3 computers w/ Outlook 2007, I left the 2003 version.

Everything works correctly EXCEPT I cannot use MS Word to edit and compose
messages. It does not appear in the list of applications. So, I'm forced to
use HTML, Rich Text, or plain text.

Is there a patch anywhere that will allow the 2003 version of Outlook to
recognize that the computer has a valid MS Word 2007 to use for messages?

Thank you in advance

Outlook/Office versions must match for that to be an option. It also
applies to other automation items such as mail merges.

Thank you, Milly. I was afraid that this would be the case.

With the exception of Outlook, you can have multiple versions of the Office
suite installed. Perhaps you can have Word 2003 installed as well and that
would ameliorate the problem.
