Outlook 2003 w/ Office 2007

I've installed Office 2007 (w/o Outlook 2007) and Outlook 2003 on my new
Vista system. The problem is that features like auto spell check don't work.
Is that because I have Word 2007 and, if so, is there a way around it?

OL requires the same version of Word in order to use word as the editor
