Outlook 2003 view modifications not applied to all folders...

Help with understanding Outlook Views in 2003. When a
change is made to the view (View/Arrange By/Current
View/Define Views) the change does not occur in all
folders in the mailbox using that view. View attributes
include the reading pane and grouping.

Is there some setting that allows this to happen without
having to edit the arrangement and toggle the reading
pane in each folder?

It only works for folders that are still in the unmodified Messages View.
Eassier would be to create your own View with a different name and apply
that view to the folde ron first use.
