Outlook 2003 Tasks Missing

Hey all,
One of my customers is using Outlook 2003, and he uses the tasks feature from within the Tasks view (not the taskpad on the side of the calendar view), and has noted that every so often they go missing - seemingly randomly. He had 3 tasks as of last week, and now this week - he only has one, two have vanished. I have no idea what could be going on, or if we're just overlooking something.

Does anyone have any ideas for me to try out?

Could there be a filter applied to his view or perhaps he has AutoArchive
enabled?

Hm, there was no filter - I already checked for that. But I didn't realize autoarchive archives Tasks as well.
