Outlook 2003 should let me add trusted application access

I would like the ability to add trusted add-ins to outlook 2003 so that they
are allowed and I no longer am hounded to allow access for a minimum of 10
minutes. Either set up a way to allow access always (like Norton) or bury it
somewhere and post how to do it on your website. It is ridiculous that I
have to pay a "hacker" to write a script to accomplish this.

Outlook trusts all add-ins by default. If you're getting a prompt from an Outlook add-in, then it may not have been constructed properly.

I am an ACT user. Outlook will not stop bugging me about access unless I go
get a third party "code" and install it to get around this. I feel Microsoft
should provide me a way to "allow" permanent access to ACT. It is valid, I
know it is valid, but Outlook doesn't.

Because ACT! is an external program, not an add-in tightly integrated into Outlook, it can't be trusted. I can tell you that, based on Microsoft's position on this issue for the past 5 years, that's not going to change. The current level of security has been very effective in almost completely eliminating Outlook as a contributor to virus propagation.

FWIW, Outlook 2007 allows external programs complete access without prompts, as long as the workstation is secured with an active anti-virus application.

True. And not writing a bug-ridden piece of crap would have been even
better.

My $0.02 worth. I pitched it in because Microsoft's so-called security
fixes are causing a major rash on my rump trying to work around them.
