Outlook 2003 should automatically add replied people to contacts

I think Microsoft should come up with an update, for Outlook 2003 to allow
people in which we reply to, in an email message, automatically be added to
our contacts list. We can do this in Outlook 2000 but not Outlook 2003

Actually no complete version of Outlook has this feature, including Outlook
2000. You were using Outlook Express' address book.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but Outlook will add the address you
send to, to your "safe senders list" as well and provide for an "auto-fill"
of the adress, once you start typing it in next time.

In worst case, you can always dump the "safe senders list" into Excel, and
then import those adresses back into Outlook as contacts. Not simple, but
workable.

If there is a specific address I want as a contact, I "right-mouse-click"
and save it.

Apart from that, I am more annoyed by the fact that my addresses, saved in a
separate .pst-file (yes, as contacts but not in the default location since I
easily want to be able to carry this smaller - 10 MB - file with me all the
time) are not recognized when you "right-mouse-click" to "find" a contact.
Would have been neat if that worked.

Not so. The names are added to the autocompletion cache, not the Safe
Sender's list. You can only copy the entries using third party software.

Not a pissing contest :), but under "Actions > Junk E-mail > Junk-mail
options > Safe Senders", you can put a little check mark in the box
"Automatically add people I e-mail to the safe Senders list". SDo you can add
them both to the uatocompletion cache as well as the Safe Senders list.

Still not perfect, but it works...
