Outlook 2003 Security

Hi everyone,

I am having a problem with outlook 2003 when i am trying to synchronise my
nokia 8210i phone to my addresses and calendar. When i try and do this i get
the box popup that says that i have to allow access, so i press 10 minutes
and allow. The only problem is that i have too much stuff i think and it
takes longer then 10 minutes to sync. Its also through a serial cable, so it
doesnt help. But when the 10 mins is up, then it wont allow the sync to
finish and so it drops the connection with the nokia without finishing what
needs to be done. I have tried the little install of click yes so that it
runs in the tray and presses yes. I think that this worked in outlook 2002,
but i think that it doesnt work anymore, because the default when the box
come up in 2003 is no. You actually have to check the box first and set how
many minutes. So i think this is not working. I am also on an exchange 2000
system and have tried to do the public folder of outlook security settings.
Im not sure if i did it right, i believe this had to go in the root, but i
have it under the all public folders directory. Is this the right place for
it?

Anyway, i have configured that, and hacked the registry to add the extra key
in windows XP, the only thing is that when adding the key under current
user, there was no sucurity folder down there, so i made one and added it
there. Is this right?

Assuming all this is right, then i checked off a few boxes in the security
stuff, that i thought could be it and tried to sync. I dont think it helped.
It still asks for the box to allow for 10 mins. Have i done something wrong?
Is there something that i didnt check in the outlook security settings
folder under public folders on the published form? Or can this thing just no
be turned off?

Please help

Andrew

Check with Nokia to see if they have updated their synch program.
