Outlook 2003 Security Patches

I have Outlook 2003 SP2 installed together with Office 2000 (Not Office 2003).

But when using Office Update I see that I'm missing several Office 2003
security patches...!!!

Do I have to install them...????

Of course, you don't have to apply any patches if you don't want to.
Moreover, if the Office patches don't apply to Outlook, installing them
would be pointless.

Allright

But I still think it is confusing that Microsoft calls the patches "Security
Update for Office 2003" when I only have Outlook installed.

But okay, I'll better install the patches...... (o:
