Outlook 2003 Outbox message still stuck after trying all fixes

I recently changed ISP's and was cleaning up my Outlook, when I believe I
mistakenly opened my outbox folder while sending. The message is now stuck
there, and I have spent the last day and a half trying all the prescribed
fixes I can find on the net. I appear to be receiving other e-mails, and when
I run the test from outlook it is deleivered into my inbox. I am running out
of ideas here. Any suggestions anyone?
 
I take it you've tried deleting the message, and then re-creating it from
scratch? That's what usually fixes this problem.

It won't allow me to open or delete, it says transmission has already begun

Click File and check "Work Offline". Close Outlook and wait a moment.
Restart Outlook. Delete the message. Click File and uncheck "Work
Offline".
