I am running Outlook 2003 and would like to disable the feature that
automatically reads the mail from my ISP server when I run Outlook. I can
not remember how to do it. I thought I could use /nopollmail but that is
not working. I think I am having a senior moment because I know I have
toggled between the 2 modes in the past!

Thank you,
Fred Jacobowitz

Tools->options->Mail Setup->

1. Uncheck the option to send immediately when connected.
2. Under the Send/Receive settings, uncheck the options to have this mail
account checked and uncheck the option to schedule a send/receive interval.

Put Outlook into offline mode and manually poll when you want to. Or
disable the scheduled poll options. Or configure the Send/Receive group
settings to disable the Receive and/or Send options for each account.
