I just looked up outlook 2003's mailbox size and it says
that now its 20 GB.But I keep getting this error in my
outlook 2003 that my mailbox has exceeded its size. And i
see that the size of my personal folders on my local
computer is only a about 50 MBs but the mailbox on my
server and hence the exchange server is also around that
size. Does this mean that i need to change the maximum
size of the each person's profile (for Xchange server)?
Thanks
Charles.

Microsoft Exchange has options that allows the administrator to set mailbox
limits at the information store level and/or per mailbox. Server side
limits are just that, server side limits and doesn't effect the PST file.

The 20GB limit refers to the default size of the new PST (unicode) format.
If you are using a PST file that was a carry over from an earlier version or
you create a PST file that is compatible with Outlook 97-2002, then the 2GB
max file size still applies.
