Outlook 2003 Limitation?

Hello,
I have a "normal" Exchange account that is my daily account and would like
to add a POP account for GMail. Is there a way to do it so that they show up
in a separate account as in adding another Exchange account or am I doomed to
have them all in the same inbox? I know I can write a rule and put them in a
folder so that's an option. At any rate, tested this in Outlook 2K7 and it
appears you can direct the outside mails to a .pst while the Exchange
continues to hit the normal mailbox.
Anyway to do this in O2K3?
THanks,
D

the only way to put pop3 mail in another folder is using rules to move
them - it works the exact same way in outlook 2007, so I'm not quite sure
what you are seeing in Outlook 2007 that leads you to think it does it
differently.

the recommended method when using and Exchange acct for business and a pop
acct for personal mail is to use separate profiles - yeah, it's a bit of
work, but it keep your personal mail separate, as it should be. Another
option is using OE/vista mail for personal mail so you don't have to switch
profiles.

I've got O2K7 using a .pst file to house the POP mail while using an Exchange
server to house the corp mail. I was able to switch the storage location
under Tools --> Acct. Settings --> Email --> Change location... Is this
setup doing something I'm not anticipating?

ok... yeah, outlook 2007 lets you set it but 2003 requires rules to move
messages.
