outlook 2003 is so slow

I have been told that there is an IMAP issue that makes this software so
incredibly slow - it takes forever to load, forever to start an email,
forever to respond, etc - does anyone know if there is any plan to fix this
(patch) or upgrade it?

Outlook express is so efficient - if it wasn't for the sync'ing (ppc) I
would trash this stupid thing -

Trash away - and stop complaining - if you want to use a different software
package, no one is stopping you.

Forever is a long time. While I find Outlook's IMAP less than optimal, I'd
hardly typefy it as taking "forever". The IMAP server also has a lot to do
with it.

Use Outlook for your calendar, contacts, notes, tasks, etc. Use Outlook
Express for your mail. You can even share Outlook's Contacts folder with
Outlook Express so that it uses the same addresses. If you like how one
program does a job as compared with another, use the one you like.
