Outlook 2003 Hyperlink issue

I created a batch file (.bat) and saved it on a shared network drive. I sent
everyone that I wanted to run it a link to it (like this
\\server\directory\directory\file.bat) in the body of the E-mail. When they
click the link a browser window opens labeled "locate link browser". Any
ideas what causes this and how to fix it? Links to text file and other
things work correctly.
 
Point it to IEXPLORE. EXE
