Help, I am using Word 2003 as my mail editor for Outlook 2003 - how do I
change the default so that when I insert pictures they will be attachments
rather than embedded?

thanks,

Hi Mama :)

I don't know of any way to change the default behavior of Word when you
click on insert -> picture. It either wants to embed it or link it, one or
the other. I would suggest instead of clicking on insert on the main menu
instead choose the paperclip option from your toolbar and insert the pictures
as you would any other type of file.

Hope that's clear dont use insert instead use the add attachment (paperclip)
option OR drag and drop the picture FILES you want to add as attachments to
your email.

hope this helps!

Thanks - works perfectly!

I'd like to do the exact opposite. Same software set up as you but my insert
picture options (from file, etc) are grey. How do I get the insert option to
become avail? thanks
