I have paid hotmail account that I used through outlook 2003 for 2 years now.
Yesterday I istalled Intrenet Explorer 7 and since that I can not access my
hotmail account through outlook 2003 any more. The window that is asking for
ID and password is constantly popping out - I re-enter my password, but
doesn't go through. I can access my account through browser. I did test
with my other computer that I had same set-up on, but I didn't "upgraded"
with IE 7 and evereything works fine. I also did repair of MS Office this
morning, but it didn't help at all. Does anyone know what could be a problem
and how to solve it? Best regards.

This seems to be a known error, as it has been reported before. The
solution is to uninstall IE7.

Thanks Brian - it is amazing that Microsoft can not put its act together - 3
products, all Microsoft, all 3 commercial and breaking each other.
Unbelievable.

Now I am on the square 1. I instilled IE 7 because my IE 6 was acting
strange and MS didn’t let me reinstall IE 6. Do you by any chance know how
to get rid of IE7 and get back IE6?

Well, IE7 is still not a released product, so seeing errors in it is not
surprising.

Uninstalling IE7 automatically reinstalls IE6.

I just realized that - however, when I was trying to reinstall IE6 (I was
looking for procedure how to do it as well as IE6 installation file on
Microsoft support site),
I was "pushed" by Microsoft support site to IE7 and it was not explicitly
stated that this is not released product.

Brian, thanks again for help and information.

I think it says "Release Candidate 1". That's a fairly good sign it's not
released yet.
