Does anyone know of a way to copy the formatting & display features of a
given folder to another existing folder?

For example - let's assume that I have a folder with a given number of
fields displayed such as...

* Importance
* Attachment
* From
* Subject
* Received
* Size
* Flag Status

Lest's also assume that I have taken the time to alter the column formats
such as width, alignment, etc.

Is there any way to essentially copy these settings to another existing
folder?

Thanks for your assistance...

Create a custom view with the settgings you want and then select that view
in the other folder.

Thanks for the information - I appreciate it.

Question - where are these view settings saved?

I am in an Exchange 2003 environment with a server-side mailbox, and also a
local PST file for long-term storage. The views that I have defined seem to
work for folders in either "location". I'm just wondering where these are
stored...

Views are stored as hidden items -- global views in a hidden folder at the root of the information store, folder-scoped views in the folder. You can see them with tools like Outlook Spy and MFCMAPI.
