a) Snarkiness is proportional to anonymity, which you have so elegantly
shown.
b) If someone else said it was possible, why not address them and ask them
how they think it was done.
c) Someone saying something incorrect is not necessarily lying. Lying is
knowingly presenting a known untruth as truth. Being mistaken is (or may
be) *unknowingly* presenting an untruth as truth.
d) I've supported plenty of customers who reported something impossible
*was* working and now, suddenly, the software is behaving properly and they
would have liked to make it go back to doing what the software was not able
to do in the first place. I never assumed they were lying, but either
mistaken or the software was broken allowing them to do something they
shouldn't have been able to do.
