It's a good thing that 'it is complicated' is not the answer you need, since
that isn't the answer. That good news given, now it is time for the bad
news.

Word 2000 can't be used as the editor for Outlook 2003.

Sorry.

You can, however, get Word to work with Outlook from File - Send as
Attachment, but I'm not sure that's what you're looking for. In order to
get that, you should be able to add a button to your toolbar and select the
File - Send as Attachment option.

What is amazing is that in one previous posting someone mentioned that he/she
did see it done. Strange!! She must me lying. Untrue statements/posting
should not have there place here

a) Snarkiness is proportional to anonymity, which you have so elegantly
shown.

b) If someone else said it was possible, why not address them and ask them
how they think it was done.

c) Someone saying something incorrect is not necessarily lying. Lying is
knowingly presenting a known untruth as truth. Being mistaken is (or may
be) *unknowingly* presenting an untruth as truth.

d) I've supported plenty of customers who reported something impossible
*was* working and now, suddenly, the software is behaving properly and they
would have liked to make it go back to doing what the software was not able
to do in the first place. I never assumed they were lying, but either
mistaken or the software was broken allowing them to do something they
shouldn't have been able to do.

Anonymity: Marc Beck, (e-mail address removed), 972 800 2150, anytime. The
rest is irrelevant, facts are there. What I need is the key to replace in
the register the default editor by the 2000 word editor

"Anytime"? What is that, some kind of odd threat?

Anyways, there is no key in the registry to replace.

Outlook 2003 can not use Word 2000 as it's editor.

If you need to use Word 2000 as your editor, remove Outlook 2003 and
reinstall Outlook 2000.
