I have OL2003 and it has worked fine until I recently installed a new
hard drive in my system. I guess I had reached my limit of hardware
changes, because Windows XP and all my Office apps wanted to be
re-activated. No problem - I put the CDs in and went through the
activation and everything appeared to be working.
Later I opened Outlook to download my e-mail and things went crazy from
there. I could see the download progress display. I could see how
many messages it was downloading and the progress there, too. It
showed the jobs as complete. BUT I CAN'T FIND MY E-MAIL ANYWHERE!
It's not in the Inbox, Deleted Items, or any archived folders or Junk.
I know it was downloaded, because my e-mail filter program (Popfile)
shows it as downloaded as does my
POP3 server logs.
Things I've done to troubleshoot:
1. Rebuilt all the e-mail accounts. No effect.
2. Deleted all message rules. No effect.
3. Checked the account using Outlook Express. That works fine.
4. Changed the default download folder from Personal Folder to Archive
and vice versa. No effect.
Anyone have any ideas here?
Did you check to make sure you don't have any kind of custom view or filter
applied to your Inbox?
